CSS naked day
The idea behind this event is to promote the importance of Web Standards!!! It's probably me, but how is that promoting web standards and css? To me it seems a bit stupid at best. This year the event will take place on April 9, 2008. Read more about it here

I'm in love
I love a lot of things coming from Italy. I love the food, the wine, the temperament, the people, the way they play football and the of course the cars. I'm not talking about all the Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Bugatti which are all out of reach for any web developer! No I'm talking about one of the smallest cars on the market. I'm talking about the new Fiat 500. It's simply beautiful and breathtaking. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about the new website but it's still pretty fun to make your own car configuration. Take a look for yourself or take a look at my new love. It takes a while before my car loads!

The anatomy of a geek
Today I visited this website that completely changed my view on the traditional geek which I always thought a was a pale white person with funny glasses in a poor physical condition. Something like this perhaps! I must say this list of hot geeks certainly has changed that impression. I can now affirm that being a geek involves owning (or wanting to) a cool Mac, former modeling/acting and willingness to share deep personal stuff on video. I'm currently looking for a new domain name... I don't qualify :)

MicroHoo!
Combined Microsoft and Yahoo is a scary beast if you ask me. MSN, Yahoo, Flickr, Zimbra and a bunch of other web apps would be under one roof. That immediately raise the question... can Microsoft manage it all? An equally interesting question is... will Yahoo shareholders allow it? I for one will miss Yahoo's fighting spirit and the fact they told Microsoft to go buy something else last year. But that was last year!

IE8 and versioning - WTF
I almost choke when I read the A List Apart article Beyond DOCTYPE: Web Standards, Forward Compatibility and IE8 by Aaron Gustafson and I almost feel of my chair when I saw this one from from Eric Meyer From Switches to Targets: A Standardista's Journey!

Opera vs. Microsoft
Opera has filed a complaint against Microsoft at the European Commission court and in that respect asked for developers to blog about it if they agree to this... "We are doing this because we care about web standards and the open
web, not because we are seeking any kind of monetary (or other) gain from the hopefully positive outcome. I don't agree as I'm having a hard time believing Opera's intentions, but I'm still blogging about it... uhhh

The Ultimate Mouse?
Recently I bought a new laptop. Very cool et al but all laptops has one huge problem IMO. The mouse pad thingy sucks at best. Anyway to make a long rant short I bought myself a new mouse for the laptop. "Logitech MX Revolution" is the name of the beast. I must say... this mouse is really something. If you like me always have 2-3 browsers open, photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver then you'll love the "side wheel" for browsing your open programs. The one click search button is also great but not as great as the "back" and "forward" buttons. When using it with PS or Illustrator it works very well too. Precise and steady. All in all I must say that this product is worth the approx $120 I had to pay here in DK.
